Description

Ingredients

– 8 cups cubed bread

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter

– 1 onion, diced

– 3 celery stalks, diced

– 3 garlic cloves, minced

– 1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage

– 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 1/2 cups chicken or vegetable broth


Instructions

1. – Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. – In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and celery, and sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened.

3. – Stir in the garlic, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

4. – In a large bowl, combine the sautéed vegetables and bread cubes. Pour in the broth and mix well, ensuring the bread is evenly coated.

5. – Transfer the stuffing mixture to a baking dish and spread it out in an even layer.

6. – Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

7. – Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a moister stuffing, add an extra 1/4 cup of broth. You can also try adding chopped apples, cranberries, or sausage for extra flavor.
