Description

Indulge in the ultimate sugar cookie experience with this easy, 30-minute recipe. Soft, chewy, and perfectly sweet, these irresistible cookies are a must-try for any cookie lover.

Ingredients

– 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

– 1 egg

– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. – In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

3. – In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

4. – Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

5. – Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

6. – Scoop dough by the tablespoonful and roll into balls. Place them about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.

7. – Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

8. – Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For even softer cookies, reduce the baking time by 1-2 minutes. You can also add sprinkles or other decorations to the dough before baking for a festive twist.
