Description

Indulge in the vibrant, citrusy flavors of this Sustainable Seafood Ceviche. Made with a blend of fresh, sustainably sourced seafood, this easy-to-prepare dish is the perfect balance of acidity, texture, and freshness.

Ingredients

– 1 pound sustainably sourced white fish (such as halibut or cod), diced

– 1 pound sustainably sourced shrimp, peeled and deveined

– 1 cup fresh lime juice

– 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice

– 1 red onion, thinly sliced

– 2 jalapeños, seeded and minced

– 1 cup chopped cilantro

– 1 teaspoon sea salt

– 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

1. In a large non-reactive bowl, combine the diced fish and shrimp.

2. Pour the lime and lemon juice over the seafood, making sure all the pieces are submerged. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes, or until the seafood is opaque and “cooked” through the acid.

3. Drain any excess liquid from the bowl. Add the sliced red onion, minced jalapeños, chopped cilantro, salt, and pepper. Gently toss to combine.

4. Serve the Sustainable Seafood Ceviche immediately, either on its own or with tortilla chips, crackers, or lettuce cups.

Notes

For a milder version, use fewer jalapeños. You can also add diced avocado or mango for extra flavor and texture.
