Description
This Texas Christmas Dip is a must-have holiday appetizer that’s creamy, cheesy, and oh-so-festive. It’s a crowd-pleasing dip that’s sure to disappear fast at any holiday gathering.
Ingredients
– 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
– 1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
– 3 green onions, thinly sliced
– 1 teaspoon chili powder
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
3. Stir in the cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, diced tomatoes with green chilies, green onions, chili powder, garlic powder, and cumin. Mix until well combined.
4. Transfer the dip mixture to a 9-inch baking dish or pie plate.
5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly.
6. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
This dip can be made ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to bake. It also reheats well in the microwave or oven. For a spicier dip, add more diced green chilies or a diced jalapeño.
