Description

Indulge in the classic flavors of the season with this traditional Thanksgiving stuffing recipe. Bursting with fragrant herbs, tender vegetables, and perfectly seasoned bread cubes, this easy-to-make side dish is the perfect complement to your holiday feast.

Ingredients

– 1 loaf of day-old bread, cubed

– 1 onion, diced

– 3 celery stalks, diced

– 3 cloves of garlic, minced

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter

– 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth

– 2 eggs, beaten

– 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped

– 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped

– 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. – Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. – In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and celery, and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

3. – Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, until fragrant.

4. – Transfer the sautéed vegetables to a large mixing bowl. Add the cubed bread, beaten eggs, broth, thyme, sage, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper. Gently mix until well combined.

5. – Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and transfer the stuffing mixture into it, spreading it out evenly.

6. – Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

7. – Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a moister stuffing, add an extra 1/4 cup of broth. For a crunchier texture, bake for an additional 5-10 minutes. This stuffing can also be prepared a day in advance and baked just before serving.
