Description

This Thanksgiving Turkey Recipe is the key to a mouthwatering, juicy, and flavorful holiday centerpiece. With a simple seasoning blend and easy roasting method, you’ll have a show-stopping turkey that’s sure to impress your guests.

Ingredients

– 1 whole turkey, 12-15 lbs

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped

– 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped

– 1 tablespoon garlic powder

– 1 tablespoon onion powder

– 1 tablespoon salt

– 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 325°F. Remove turkey from packaging and pat dry with paper towels.

2. – In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

3. – Gently loosen the skin of the turkey and spread half of the butter mixture under the skin. Rub the remaining butter mixture all over the outside of the turkey.

4. – Place the turkey breast-side up on a rack in a large roasting pan. Roast for 2.5-3 hours, basting every 30 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F in the thickest part of the breast.

5. – Let the turkey rest for 30 minutes before carving and serving.

Notes

For extra crispy skin, you can briefly broil the turkey for 2-3 minutes at the end. Basting the turkey regularly helps ensure a juicy, even cook. Leftover turkey can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
