Ingredients

– 1 lb. ground turkey

– 1 onion, diced

– 2 stalks celery, diced

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tsp. dried sage

– 1 tsp. dried thyme

– 1/2 tsp. salt

– 1/4 tsp. black pepper

– 4 cups day-old bread cubes

– 1 cup chicken or turkey broth

– 2 eggs, beaten

– 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

2. 2. In a large skillet, cook the ground turkey over medium-high heat until browned and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes.

3. 3. Add the onion, celery, and garlic to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened.

4. 4. Stir in the sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

5. 5. In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, turkey mixture, broth, and beaten eggs. Mix well.

6. 6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.

7. 7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is heated through and the top is golden brown.

8. 8. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
