Description
Crispy, tangy, and oh-so-satisfying, these Vegan Buffalo Cauliflower Wings are the perfect easy appetizer or snack. Made with just a few simple ingredients, they come together in just 20 minutes for a delightful guilt-free treat.
Ingredients
– 1 head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1 cup unsweetened plant-based milk (e.g., almond, oat, or soy)
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/2 teaspoon paprika
– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
– 2 tablespoons melted vegan butter or olive oil
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, plant-based milk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne, and salt until a smooth batter forms.
3. Add the cauliflower florets to the batter and toss to coat evenly.
4. Transfer the battered cauliflower to the prepared baking sheet, spreading them out in a single layer.
5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping the florets halfway, until the batter is crispy and golden brown.
6. In a small bowl, whisk together the hot sauce and melted vegan butter or olive oil.
7. Remove the baked cauliflower from the oven and transfer it to a large bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce over the cauliflower and toss to coat evenly.
8. Serve the Vegan Buffalo Cauliflower Wings immediately, with your favorite dipping sauce on the side (such as vegan ranch or blue cheese).
Notes
– For a spicier version, increase the amount of cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
– You can also bake the cauliflower without the batter for a lower-carb option, then toss it in the buffalo sauce.
– Leftover wings can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer before serving.
