Description
This White Wine Lemon Caper Sauce is a quick, easy, and incredibly flavorful accompaniment that will elevate any dish. Bright, tangy, and creamy, it’s the perfect sauce for seafood, pasta, or as a dip.
Ingredients
– 1/2 cup dry white wine
– 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
– 2 tablespoons capers, drained and rinsed
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed
– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. In a small saucepan, combine the white wine, lemon juice, capers, and garlic. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 2-3 minutes, until slightly reduced.
2. Reduce heat to low and whisk in the cubed butter, one piece at a time, until the sauce is creamy and emulsified.
3. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Serve the White Wine Lemon Caper Sauce immediately over seafood, pasta, or use as a dip. Enjoy!
Notes
– For a thicker sauce, let the sauce simmer for a few minutes longer before whisking in the butter.
– Try adding a splash of heavy cream or half-and-half for an even richer texture.
– This sauce can be made in advance and reheated gently before serving.
