Ingredients
– 2 cups shredded hash browns
– 2 eggs, beaten
– 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a large bowl, mix together the shredded hash browns, beaten eggs, 1/4 cup of the shredded cheese, and the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
3. Grease a 9-inch pie dish or baking pan and press the hash brown mixture evenly into the bottom and up the sides, creating a crust.
4. Bake the hash brown crust for 20-25 minutes, or until it’s golden brown and crispy.
5. Remove the crust from the oven and top it with the remaining 1/4 cup of shredded cheese, the crumbled bacon, and the chopped parsley.
6. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Slice and serve hot, garnishing with extra parsley if desired.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon and use your favorite plant-based protein instead. You can also experiment with different cheese varieties or add in other toppings like sautéed mushrooms, onions, or bell peppers.
