Description

Indulge in the creamy, cheesy goodness of this Creamy Queso Rice, elevated by tender, juicy steak strips for a satisfying and flavor-packed 30-minute meal.

Ingredients

– 1 cup long-grain white rice

– 2 cups chicken broth

– 4 oz cream cheese, softened

– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into thin strips

– 1 tsp garlic powder

– 1 tsp onion powder

– 1/2 tsp chili powder

– Salt and pepper to taste

– Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

1. 1. Cook the rice according to package instructions, using the chicken broth instead of water.

2. 2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, sauté the steak strips until browned and cooked through, 5-7 minutes. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.

3. 3. Reduce heat to low and stir the cream cheese into the cooked rice until melted and fully incorporated.

4. 4. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until the cheese is melted and the rice is creamy.

5. 5. Serve the Creamy Queso Rice topped with the juicy steak strips and garnish with fresh chopped cilantro.

Notes

For extra creaminess, you can add a splash of milk or heavy cream to the rice. Adjust seasoning to taste. Leftover rice can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
