Description

This Peppermint Dip is a creamy, minty treat that’s perfect for the holiday season. It’s easy to make and can be enjoyed as an appetizer or dessert, paired with cookies, crackers, or fresh fruit.

Ingredients

– 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

– 1 cup powdered sugar

– 1 teaspoon peppermint extract

– 2-3 drops red food coloring (optional)

– 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies, plus more for garnish

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

2. Add the powdered sugar and peppermint extract, and beat until well combined.

3. If desired, add 2-3 drops of red food coloring and mix until the dip is a light pink color.

4. Gently fold in the 1/2 cup of crushed peppermint candies.

5. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and garnish with additional crushed peppermint candies.

6. Chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

– For a thicker dip, use less powdered sugar.

– Adjust the amount of peppermint extract to your desired level of minty flavor.

– Serve the dip with a variety of dippers like cookies, crackers, graham crackers, or fresh fruit.
