Description

These Voodoo Egg Rolls are a spellbinding appetizer that will have your guests begging for more. Packed with bold flavors and a delightfully crispy texture, they’re the perfect finger food for any occasion.

Ingredients

– 1 pound ground pork

– 2 cups shredded cabbage

– 1 cup grated carrots

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 teaspoon grated ginger

– 2 tablespoons soy sauce

– 1 teaspoon sesame oil

– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

– 1/4 teaspoon white pepper

– 16 egg roll wrappers

– Vegetable oil for frying

– 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce for serving

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, cabbage, carrots, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, cayenne, and white pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.

2. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface in a diamond shape. Place about 2-3 tablespoons of the pork mixture in the center. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll up tightly.

3. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat 2-3 inches of vegetable oil to 350°F. Carefully add the egg rolls and fry for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.

4. Drain the fried egg rolls on a paper towel-lined plate. Serve warm with the sweet chili sauce for dipping.

Notes

For a spicier version, add more cayenne pepper or use a hotter chili sauce. You can also experiment with different fillings, such as shredded chicken or diced shrimp.
